I have no idea what compelled me to proclaim 2010 as the Year of the Board Game this New Year's Eve, but when the (unknowing) hosts pulled out Cranium just after midnight, I truly felt I was A) psychic and B) a trendsetter. (ok, ego back in check now!) My family and friends kept busy over the break with these wicked fun card games...
I'm putting them on the MUST HAVE list for 2010 because for $5-6 bucks a piece, they are a freaking steal! Grab them at your local Target or drug store.

I'm planning a game night this coming Sunday and we are definitely playing Scrabble Slam. Also, Left Right Center and Catchphrase, my all time favorite game.
Since I wrote this post, I've discovered 3 other people who rang in the new year by playing board games...more anecdotal evidence to support my claim!
