New Home
True New Moon lovers can live lavishly like a Cullen. The home in West Vancouver, WA used for the Cullen's home in the Twilight series is now up for sale. The current owners have decided to capitalize on the Twilight-obsessed Zeitgeist. Click HERE for more pictures. Are you still feeling a little embarrassed about your passion for a teenage book series? You're not alone. Allie found this Washington Post article, which will explain away some of your shame!

Twilighters
How do you CYTs like Kristen Stewart's dress for her New Moon premiere in LA?! Although I'd never wear it, I think it's a perfect look for Bella - feminine, youthful, modest and a touch edgy in the pattern.
.

And Robert Pattinson clearly looks like a slice of heaven! Team Edward!

Say Yes! to the Dress
We've all been there: it's a Big Night and you need something fabulous to wear on a decidedly un-fabulous budget. Do you splurge on show-stopper at Bergdorf's (and forgo eating, rent, and grad school) or slip on something from your closet and hope no one at the party realizes you wore it to the last big event? Two CYTs have come up with a win-win solution inspired by the Netflix business model. Recent HBS grads Jennifer Hyman and Jennifer Fleiss want to make designer dresses more accessible for fashionistas on budget through Rent the Runway, a mail-order service. Browse the A-list inventory online, select a delivery date, and return the dress in pre-paid packaging 4 days later. The inventory rotates seasonally, so you'll always be stylin' in the latest. Party animal? Consider the $5 damage insurance. Worried about the fit? They send two sizes of the same dress free of charge, just in case. The only catch is that Rent the Runway is by invitation only, but you can sign up on their website to get on the wait list. Just get in line...behind me.

Need for Tweed
From the West Coast to the East Coast, a classy young thing always has an appreciation for the finer things in life: tea and crumpets, parisols and petticoats, vintage bicycles and tweed. And why shouldn’t a group of 200+ cyclists put those all together for a lazy Sunday ride? Gentleman and CYTs clad in pearls, bowties, caps, argyle socks, riding boots, and plenty of tweed descended upon our Nation’s Capital for the Tweed Ride on Sunday, enjoying a leisurely ride throughout the city, pausing only for a group photo in front of the White House. But unlike most traffic-stopping groups to take to the streets of D.C., the dandies had no political message, only exceptional manners and a dapper dose of class. Tally-ho!

Introducing: CYT Allie
You've seen her impersonating Beyonce and crawling through mud during the Muddy Buddy race. I now officially introduce CYT Allie, who will be a contributing blogger on Classy Young Things! Not only is she my beloved younger sister, but she also brings the sass. Don't worry, she still has plenty of class to justify her new post. (See pearl earrings below)
Welcome, Allie!

Woman Overboard!
Has Anthropologie gone overboard on nautical-inspired striped shirts? Pishaw! I think a preppy, classy girl can never have too much sea spray in her sartorial air. And now you know where to stock up.

Perfectly Taylored
How fabulously dazzling was Taylor Swift at the Country Music Awards?! Swift won four awards, including Entertainer of the Year. Stunning. I wish I could find out who designed this dress!
P.S. - It looks Tinkerbell inspired, no?
P.P.S. - The dress is by Reem Acra!

A twist on a classic: Brazilian brothers Fernando and Humberto Campana designed a special series of polos for Lacoste's Holiday Collectors Series. The designers are most famous for their furniture, including the Alligator Chair.

The Fam's Ham
My sister Allie did Beyonce for Halloween. Classy? No. Sassy? You betcha. I've gotta say: not bad! (Clearly we're not a professionally-trained dancing family) But I'm compelled to share since I'm just a teensy bit proud!

Dish the Delish
I just got my Nike Delicious Training Tee today! It's perfect for the girl who'd rather wear her chutzpah on her chest than her heart on her sleeve. Yes, you can wear it to the gym since it's made of Dri-FIT Cotton. If you have the nerve and sense of humor, you could also take it to speed dating and on job interviews! Available at Niketown locations.

Gaga Over It
I can't keep a poker face about my obsession over Lady Gaga's wild showmanship and stuck-in-my-head music. When CYT Nattha sent me these video clips, I flipped out a bit. Whose dramatic reading of Poker Face is better? Watch Jude Law and Christopher Walken then vote below!
Near and Deer
I have been in love with deer and moose heads forever. The rustic lodge relics remind me of cozy fires and changing leaves in the Adirondacks. Frankly, I prefer the the faux kind and love some of the modern interpretations of this lodging staple. Maybe this large one from Rock Paper Scissors will be the one to grace my Portland apartment...
