H(aute) Williams

Spotted this fall during Hilary Duff's Gossip Girl cameo, on Highsnobette.com, and in my current issue of O Magazine: H.Williams shoes. Each ultra luxe pair is hand-crafted in Italy with impeccable attention to detail and high quality materials.

H.Williams collections are available at Vivre.com and the Wynn Las Vegas.

The talented Heather Williams happens to be the sister-in-law of one of my nearest and dearest friends. (Check out the bridesmaid picture below...my claim to fame!) The very lucky bride wore a beautiful custom pair of H.Williams shoes.

Fabbo Fingers

All the hand washing I've been doing to dodge H1N1 is wrecking havoc on my skin. We scrutinize the aging on our face but our hands won't lie for us if they're not taken care of! Wrinkles or not...who wants dry, peeling cuticles anyway? I picked up Crabtree & Evelyn's new Citron, Honey & Coriander Hand Therapy recently and I lovvvve. Silky, fresh, therapeutic. Run to Crabtree's online store to take advantage of 20% off store-wide purchases (promo lasts until 10AM EST 10/29).

Beepin' Cute

The Daihatsu Basket is a new concept car that just oozes retro chic. I can see myself in it now...hair back in the scarf! I'd love to take this to the beach with a surfboard hanging out the back. What do you think?

Hot Idea

Genius! Lavazza and Venezuelan designer Enrique Luis Sardi put their thinking caps on and designed this sustainable and delicious solution to our daily caffeine fix: the cookie cup. According to the Lavazza website: "The cup is made of pastry covered with a special icing sugar, which works as an insulator, and makes the cup waterproof hence allowing you to use the cup and then appreciate its taste, so to eat and drink coffee along with a biscuit at the same time. "

Dear Lavazza, please bring this to market A.S.A.P.

Cankle Crisis

This cankle crisis has gone too far! Shoe god, Christian Louboutin, took it out on Barbie when he called her ankles "fat" this week in Women's Wear Daily. Louboutin is reportedly designing a collection of Barbies for 2010 but has set some high standards for them to slip on his stilettos. Barbie has been visiting her local plastic surgeon to discuss options for a little nip/tuck on the inside of her ankles. Oh for the love of shoes!

Showers and Showoffs

The fall rain has arrived in Portland like an unwanted house guest that will undoubtedly overstay her welcome. But don't let that drab sky drown you out...use it as a chance to stand out! Boden's rain coats are pretty fun, kinda crazy, and definitely attention-worthy. They're not tough on the piggy bank, either. ($138-148) Personally, I think cute rain coats are perfect for lazy days when you secretly want to wear your leggings and pajama tee to the grocery store.

Street Style

Usually "street style" refers to what the hip kids are wearing down the sidewalk, but Liesbeth Bussche's photos are all about adorning the cityscape. I'm definitely inspired by these installations. Simple but clever. My street is not this cute!

Normal is Novel

News Flash! Germany's most popular women's magazine, Brigitte, is trading up from skinny models to normal-sized women. Starting in 2010, professional models will no longer grace their pages. Instead, readers will see "real life women." It's reported by The Guardian that Brigitte's editor-in-chief was tired of retouching models to look less skinny.

"For years we've had to use Photoshop to fatten the girls up," says Andrea Lebert. "Especially their thighs and decolletage. But this is disturbing and perverse and what has it got to do with our real reader?"

Critics point to this move as a cost-cutting measure in a tough economic time for publications. Lebert insists, however, that the women will be paid the same as professional models. This comes after a recent call from British Vogue editor, Alexandra Schulman, to put an end to the size-zero model.

Living La Vida VIA

Lots of girls on the go need coffee to put some mojo into their mornings. Usually about 4pm, I'm looking for that last kick to get me through the end of the workday. For me, coffee is hard to come by at this hour. (I don't work in a downtown locale!) Starbucks VIA launched last week and seemed to be the perfect solve for a yummy cup of joe in a pinch. I bought the dark roast and gave it a whirl. My thoughts? More or less tasty; however, I wasn't blown over by the product like I expected to be. The miss is the lack of an aroma, and as far as I'm concerned, that's a huge miss in my coffee-drinking experience. The convenience factor for a busy girl, however, is where this product is a win for me. I plan to keep it stocked at my desk!

Get Your Ne-On

Does Michael Kors have you inspired with neon this Fall? I'm guessing this outfit is a bit adventurous for your daily get up...
.

Take a more subtle approach to neon with Essie's 2009 Neon collection. I first saw these wild colors in the W Scottsdale gift shop. Not available on the Essie website, you can find a good deal on Ebay!
